Terms & Conditions
Each piece from 4th Edition Design is handmade to order. This means that we are designing and building bespoke projects for each customer’s unique specifications.
Quote:
Quote expires 30 days from the issue date.
Acceptance:
Buyer signature is an acknowledgment and acceptance of the details and terms outlined.
Signature and deposit constitute Notice to Proceed.
Payment Terms:
60% deposit is due upon signing the contract, prior to start of production.
Piece(s) will not be delivered until the remaining 40% balance is paid in full.
Balance must be paid within one week of notification.
4th Edition can hold the piece(s) for up to one week free of charge. Storage fees may apply thereafter.
Our pieces are final sale and non-returnable.
Payment Options:
We accept payments via check, Zelle, direct deposit, or credit card.
All credit card transactions are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.
Cancellation:
Cancellations are only accepted within 24 hours of placing a deposit. After this period, the buyer is obligated to pay the balance upon completion.
In the event of a refund within the 24 hour period, a 5% processing fee applies.
Order Changes:
Buyer may make changes to an order within 48 hours of the deposit.
Changes after 48 hours are not guaranteed and may affect price and lead time.
Lead Time and Delivery:
Due to the custom nature of our process, expect lead times of approx. 8 -12 weeks or as communicated at the time of purchase.
Specific delivery dates cannot be guaranteed due to the handmade nature of the pieces.
Lead time starts upon deposit.
Variations:
4th Edition reserves the right to alter designs for stability or function, notifying the buyer before making changes.
Materials are variable and specific grain, color, texture, and unique characteristics vary from tree to tree
Buyer accepts natural wood variation in the final product.
Wood species/color/finish samples to be approved prior to project start.
Live edges vary in width measurement, in some cases 10% or more. Final thickness on wood surfaces may vary 1/4”.
Inspection and Damages:
Buyer must inspect the piece(s) at the time of delivery.
Damages or discrepancies must be noted on the BOL or invoice at the time of delivery.
After acceptance, alterations or fixes may incur additional charges.
Warranty and Repairs:
Slight variations in size, color, or finish may occur due to the nature of the handmade and custom manufacturing process. These are not considered defects and, therefore, are not covered by our warranty.
Should any furniture prove to be defective, 4th Edition Design agrees, at its discretion, to either repair or replace the defective item without charge within 180 days of installation.
Our warranty does not cover:
Damages resulting from misuse, abuse, accidents, alterations, or improper installation.
Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, or natural aging of materials.
Residential furniture and products that are used for commercial purposes.
Damage or discoloration caused by exposure to sunlight or chemicals.
Shipping and Delivery Costs:
Deliveries outside Austin incur additional shipping and installation costs.
Deliveries within Austin are scheduled Mon-Fri during normal business hours, unless otherwise arranged with mutual agreement and an overtime surcharge.
Intellectual Property:
Custom designs or sketches are the creative property of 4th Edition Design.
Changes to Agreement:
This purchase agreement is subject to change; updates on the Seller’s website are effective immediately upon posting.
